Plus terrible shoe-horned Joss Whedon or Guardians of the Galaxy humor every 2 minutes.The woke crap and race swapping was in there too, but it could have been ignored if it happened during actual good movies/shows. Instead, it made things worse in a few cases.Add on franchise fatigue, plus massive content spam during Phase 4, and you get the idea. They didn't just do 1 thing wrong, they did several things wrong simultaneously.

@Boomerman I've seen the most recent Ant-Man film and the previous ones (my family is really into Marvel shit) so I think I can answer. This one series actually perfectly analogizes the entire trend.The previous two Ant-Man films were more comedy than action focused, the first one was even written by Edgar Wright, an actually good comedy director (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Baby Driver). He was supposed to direct it as well but Disney execs didn't want to let him do things his way, from what I've heard. The second film got by by copying some of the comedic points of the first but simply wasn't as good. This "almost distinct identity" the first two films had is completely gone in the new film. The comedic side characters from the first two don't appear at all, the plot is just a cliche "plucky rebels rise up against evil emperor" Star Wars ripoff. It doesn't even have a satisfying ending because it's just building towards the next Endgame.I am surprised as you that audiences aren't eating it up, though. Maybe they're smarter than we give them credit for.
