Notebooks are replacing the classic desktop computer. However, you should also give the #battery a break in stationary operation on the power supply. This way, you save the integrated battery at the same time maximize the #lifespan of your #TUXEDO. https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/en/Battery-charging-profiles-inside-the-TUXEDO-Control-Center.tuxedo

@tuxedocomputers I really love this option and makes we wonder why this is possible why this is not industry standard on other appliances (other than EV's) with lithium based batteries.

@tuxedocomputers Are there any plans to provide an official Fedora package or a Flatpak version of Tuxedo Control Center? I used to use a third party package from COPR, but it's often outdated.

@tuxedocomputers From which repository? I can't find any RPM in the GitHub repository (https://github.com/tuxedocomputers/tuxedo-control-center) and a search in the Fedora repositories returns nothing.

@tuxedocomputers of course I installed the Control Center, I meant that the charging profiles are not available for my device. Not a big deal, the other options are already very useful!

@tuxedocomputers Can I get access to this feature by updating the BIOS on my XP 1610?

@MatthiasMailaender The XP 1610 offers FlexiCharger, which you can find in the BIOS settings. Depending on the version of your BIOS, you might need an update to be able to see it.
