       After Dr. Ripco died, and before the RIPCO.COM site went offline, I was tipped off that Bruce Esquibel/Dr. Ripco had a really nice reliquary of little satellite video, TV, and Chicago-area hacker and other clips in a tucked away part of the site.        @textfiles ripco was the first place I remember that enforced secure passwords. The system generated a password from letters and numbers and didn’t let you choose your own. 39 years later I still use a (more secure) variant of it some places.

       @textfiles ripco was awesome. it was my isp in high school back when you could pay $15/month for a shell with slirp. Bruce was cool af about being late too. Good times the 90s were.
