@Arkana Heard it was a decent cult hit. Not as wonderful as Kemono Friends, but good enough to help people left with a bad taste from the KF fiasco.

@ceo_of_monoeye_dating @SuperSnekFriend The company that owns it, Kadokawa, decided to change the studio and director for the 2nd season.Considering that it was a passion project and the guy wrote, directed, and I think 3D animated the 1st season, it was basically a different show.

@SuperSnekFriend @Arkana This reminded me that I actually went to a collab cafe for the show back in early 2019. I never even watched it but these things are always fun and the food is never bad. They had the show playing on TVs and it seemed cute.

@Arkana The Kemono friends anime has that special quality, like MLP FiM first two seasons, a sort of simplicity, inocence, naivety... it's hard to describe, but it's like it just the pure "thing" with no second guessing and barely any hidden meanings or references. A simple straightforward story with simple messages.
