Mastodon I'd like you to meet Oreo, a domestic short haired tuxedo cat. He is 7 months old and acclimating to the rest of the menagerie pretty well. Oreo seems bold and he'll need that in our pack! @CallalilyThank you! I have a soft spot for tuxedo cats. Apparently he was terrorizing the older lady that had him before my sister-in-law and then my sister-in-law got really bad hives. So now he's here.

@BegoniaArizonaEveryone needs a home. Maddy has an aggression problem and she's 13 lbs and only let's me handle her, Pixie has a social cue problem and just licks the other dogs when they don't want it. So why not add a cat that terrorizes older ladies and gave my sister-in-law hives. 😆😂🤣

@That_One_Guy The bl/wh tuxedo in the pics today has been my toughest challenge in yrs. I’ve had to keep him separated in the cathouse for a long time unless I chaperone. Finally he is starting to acclimate to the others and not terrorize them. He was 2 yrs old and injured when he came here. I don’t think he was truly feral because he warmed to me pretty early on but man he’s a scrapper and a character.

@jeanettepizzurroSome say it takes a cat 8-12 months to acclimate to a new cat. I've never had it take that long. Currently the dogs are a problem, they are scared for some strange reason and whining.

@jeanettepizzurroI would let them spend extra time outside but our yard is currently soup in places after all the rain. I offered pig ears but they all dropped them instantly. Belly rubs and extra attention have helped. It's just a time thing at this point.I give it a week and it will be like Oreo was here all along. 🙂
