       Kind of funny how this whole "Google is doomed because of #chatgpt" thing is playing out. MS released it as a proper product, everyone started messing with it and MS pulled back. Now Google is well set up to put their own thing out to tons of hype but with more time to design it well (assuming they can get the LLM to work as well, and I mean really that should right?)

       @andrey I think this is probably right. But otoh, Bing didn't have a lot of market share to lose, and MS has encouraged lots of people to try it. Even if they look bad, the turmoil might play out to their advantage commercially?

       @TedUnderwood yeah, that is true - even if most people won't stick with Bing, some will get used to it and stick around, and MS now has a ton more prestige in terms of its AI tech (despite Google having invested in and deployed AI vastly more)
