       @lowqualityfacts I love cheese, but I don't pronounce the word in a way that makes me appear to smile.I'm not sure how common or uncommon it is, but it means that telling me to say cheese has never been helpful.

       @lowqualityfacts I thought it was because instant cameras used to use a mechanism that slowly released a slice of American cheese out the front. Then you would shake the cheese and it would slowly develop into a photograph. I think they were called “Provoloid”.

       @lowqualityfacts That would explain why I once saw "say cheese" translated literally into Finnish although the Finnish word for cheese has only rounded vowels.
