       SURF (aka @SLURF@social.surf.nl, the IT cooperation of Dutch universities) did their mastodon support just right: only for the “real” community (using Surf login) allowing anonymous accounts for the public of which the identities are known by the admins onlyhttps://surf.nl/mastodon-pilot

       @twijs @SLURF excellent! Exactly what we wanted to do when we set up mastodon.utwente.nl, but integration with the UT login was hard, so we opted for a login with utwente.nl email only (so the admins could find out an account’s real identity)

       @djoerd @SLURF Is there any possibility that the real #Education and #Research  community in NL is more extensive than those organizations that do business with #SURF to get purchase discounts on their #Microsoft  licenses, among other things?
