       The thing is ... ChatGPT and their ilk are at the "artificial stupid" stage. They can only do what you tell them to do and can't infer additional information. Once they get past that hump and begin to use intuition to make additional connections ... we're collectively screwed.

       @GayDeceiver I've been snarking for a few days now that as much as the techbros want us to believe that A.I. stands for "artificial intelligence," so far it really only stands for "algorithmic stupidity."Which may be more dangerous to humanity as a whole than *actual* artificial intelligence would be.

       @Shachihoko I dunno, when I chat with any of my human friends I always expect shoddy writing, shoddy logic, and shoddy facts. Why should an AI be any different if they got trained on human works?
