@Linux But unless I'm mistaken, it doesn't remember its position on the desktop, an important feature for me (it saves me from repositioning lots of windows when I start my desktop)

@Linux pretty decent option. The only downside is the lack of popular extensions like uBlock Origin and Dark Reader

@Linux I've used Falkon before and while I prefer Firefox based browsers I would pick Falkon or Brave if I needed them. I do like how Chromium based browsers have the option to translate web pages with a simple click.

@PublicLewdness @Linux Mozilla has an add-on for translate now also! It works great!

@anarchotaoist @Linux What's it called ? I need it bad haha. An increasing amount of FOSS sites i'm interested in are in German.

@fosserytech @Linux Yes, without access to the Mozilla or Chrome store Falkon will only ever be a tertiary option.

@Linux Also, that engine needs to be updated, it is based on Chromium 62 or something like that. My Nextcloud server is broken in browsers that use the Qt5WebEngine. Qutebrowser also has this problem, but there's a Qt6 version at least.

@Le_bottin_des_jeux_linux @Linux I'm putting my hopes on Angelfish to replace it. Fully convergent and really nice already.

@LinuxI personally don't give it a spin because of the chronically outdated (on most distros) Web-Backend #QtWebEngine. This was a Problem even in the flatpak-package, as far as i remember. It is an serious security issue. In contrast, the Situation of #webkitgtk is much better on most big distributions.@kde

@anarchotaoist @Linux Or at least it should support manual installation for (open source) Chrome extensions

@justinz @Linux I just tested Angelfish: there is still work to do. Let's wait & see what happens next. In the meantime, I tested Icecat (a Firefox derivative that seems to be quite security-oriented). Good ideas, quite compact, moreover it almost memorizes its position (it moves a bit from its initial position on the desktop at the next start). I need it for my web radio. Requires about 1h of compilation in the AUR repository.

@Le_bottin_des_jeux_linux @Linux does it work on mobile? I'm looking for something to use on both desktop and mobile Linux.

@justinz @Linux No idea, but considering the compilation time, I think it's big and heavy for mobile
