Top tip 💡If you don’t have/want a Google account to follow your favourite YouTubers, instead, download an RSS reader app and follow using the RSS feed. I use Feedly app and it works a charm! No account, no algorithm, just following who you want and only that. 👌🏻#algorithmfree

@m4tty_j I refuse to have a Google Account and the YouTube algorithm is full of inflammatory videos and pumps in news which I detest. This way, I have my own curated feed which is completely pure.

@m4tty_j it still shows them, essentially its just a hyperlink directly to a new upload - in its most basic form.

@awesomeknight yeah, it seems like an ancient bit of tech history. But you can apply it to your favourite news sites or even Mastodon accounts that use RSS. That way you don’t have to follow or have an account if it’s a public account
