Went to a Brianna Ghey vigil, such a shame the girl was lost so young :(I hope lesions can and will be learned about this case and justice is done, the UK needs to deal with its violence against women issue head on. They can only do that when bigots are taken off their soapbox.

@PG I agree, the other stabbing with the young man was also tragic, i have't looked into it however.I do think with Brianna Ghey and her stabbing should be put into focus however, the tragedy around that case is extra sad since she was clearly targeted due to her being a women that her bullies didn't like. Violence against women is a big issue and unfortunately the times loves to target specific women for abuse and harassment, often children or people helping children.

@LadyMont I don't know who you are talking about, i am talking about Brianna Ghey who was murdered in a “extremely brutal and punishing” over the weekend. Hopefully she has become as prominent as Sarah Everard's in reform of the law and help preventing further violence against women. It's still early days but i hope that enough people have spoken up about the extremely violent rhetoric in the press and on the media about women and girls who happen to be transgender.

@Isaiah76 @LadyMont There is no such thing as transgender. You do women and girls a grave disservice to suggest that violence against men should be included in conversations about violence against women. Violence against men is a very sad issue as well, but do not confound the two.

@Isaiah76 Again what does the murder of a male have to do with violence against women? His name as Brett. Just because he got off on wearing skirts doesn’t make him a girl. He was a male, died a male. His death has zero to do with women and girls and the violence and tyranny we face on a daily basis. To compare his death which was likely the result of two other teens defending themselves against him, with the femicide that goes on in the entire world is grotesque and misogynistic.

@Kay @LadyMont @william No, the identities of the suspects were actually leaked by some far right account on twitter with the intended goal of causing a mistrial, they didn't stay up for long but the idea that the suspects were drug dealers is pretty much proven wrong. It was a hate crime.
