       My tax return e-file was rejected by the IRS but the IRS says it's their bug so just file again in 3 days when they are done fixing the bug. Our tax system is, literally, broken.

       @seldo it’s so broken.  Even though you can submit electronically, it still takes having an actual human being manually key in all of the numbers on your return into a system written in COBOL.  Every single tax return in the country has to get manually typed in by an IRS employee. That’s why refunds can take so long, and the get more delayed the later you file
