@Hyolobrika Individual preferences only affect a small number of people - the person holding the preferences, and those surrounding them. And there will be plenty of people with different preferences.Cultural preferences, however, elevate some people above others, while casting others still down, for largely arbitrary reasons. This can, and does, have horrific consequences for people - especially for the latter.
