Google Fiber is back, and the company is offering a new high of 5 gigabits per second, albeit only in the company's extremely limited rollout area.https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2023/02/google-fiber-comes-back-to-life-with-5-gigabit-service-plans-for-8gbps-soon/?utm_brand=ars#botOriginal tweet : https://nitter.it/arstechnica/status/1626036913898508290

@arstechnica I mark anything #GoogleFiber as a scam because it's always "only available" in very locality restricted deployments.I live in residential of city where G-F refuses to literally cross the street to trench deployment. A city where Google has a multi-story branch office. Now ~10+ years since they "launched" G-F in area.Meanwhile, still no other telco fiber either, and only option is 20+ year cable monopoly by Cox.This in why #5G or #Starlink is actual reality.
