Hey I’m sorry for the spam but 1.5.1 is out and if fix a long standing bug that could make the navigation (tapping on a post, etc…) slower as the timeline grows. Well it’s no more!

@icecubesapp not sure what you mean by snappier. All these updates are great but still totally unusable for me as the TL scrolling is just awful. You recognised this the other day when others with same problem came forward. When will this be fixed ? Each update , at least twice a day , never seems to fix it.

@JRP69 I did so many optimizations. It’s become harder and harder to make it faster now. There should not be any lag when scrolling.

@icecubesapp another bug: if you change a timeline type (for example, from federated to local) during update, toots received during update goes to the timeline you switched to. Sometimes it is irritating. Can you check this please?

@icecubesappIceCubes crashes upon launch when I select Japanese (or other 2bytes languages like Chinese, Korean etc). It happens on iPhone but iPad works fine. Delete/Reinstall doesn’t solve. Since not many complaints I suspect there’s something to do with the remaining files from earlier version but I can’t find anything in Files apps. Is there anything I can do to help debug this?

@JRP69 @icecubesapp Imma jump in here to second this experience. I get scrolling lag on both iPad and iPhone, newest OS and latest app version. It does seem to be when new posts hit the timeline. Maybe an easy bandaid would be a setting to turn off auto refresh of the timelines and instead have pull to refresh or separate button to jump to top? That way users can scroll and only pull new content when they want to.It kinda makes this app a bit frustrating to use.

@JRP69 So, I’ve investigated this morning, I’ve made a fix about two options: - Auto expand sensitive media- Hide duplicates boosts. Do you have any of those two options enabled? If yes the 1.5.2 (will be in tomorrow I think) could be it!
