       @apropos our megalomaniacal chicken killer wouldn't be able to kill all the chickens, but I bet most of the chickens in any given "developed" country are owned by a handful of huge businessesso if the goal is not to kill the chickens per se, but to stop people eating eggs and chicken meat, they could easily achieve a 99% victory in the short termit wouldn't work long term but that's a different questionbeef has been expensive for a long time now. why? there's been plenty of time for the market to correct it, but it hasn't. I have to assume there are people actively preventing the correction

       @deprecated_ii yeah, with plenty of money you can certainly do lots of damage. In the simplest case you could buy stuff and destroy it, like Red Letter Media destroying the supply of Nukie VHS tapes.And if the chicken feed story is true (farmers switched to goat feed and wow hens are laying eggs again, instead of not laying eggs at all), I think a deliberate attack on the chicken supply definitely just happened.
