With recent changes in Ubuntu (like, requiring Pro subscription for certain apt upgrades) I am considering switching my Cinnamon Mint to LMDE edition.Thoughts?

@xpil probably a good idea, this new pro requirement is bad form in my opinion.but I've also disliked canonical for years.if there's a Ubuntu fork without the pro stuff then that's great, I assume LMDE doesn't have the pro requirement?

@paul @xpil LMDE is based on Debian if I remember correctly so it shouldn't.

@sotolf @xpil ahhh... serves me right for not looking it up... is it Linux Mint Debian Edition? makes total sense and sounds awesome!rings a bell actually, Mint were going to be switching to Debian did weren't they. I've got to give that one a go (as a recommendation to new Linux users... I am and always will be Arch btw)
