I think we win long term no matter what, but if we want to hurry this along, people need to know there's a critical mass here. my idea was to get everyone to only use the #fediverse for a specific month. if enough people did this, they'd never go back. in preparation, we do outreach, making sure everyone there has an account here and understands it and has their network set.
