GCstar was not in the repos of my distro so I only had the option to compile it, but I found several dependency errors. This is something I could have fixed, but with the nix package manager the installation has been a matter of a couple of minutes. As I said the other day, this is a real game changer for non-Arch users.#nix #linux

@alejandrobdn as someone who uses NixOS, but not Arch, why didn’t the game change for them too? Is it just that *everything* is an Arch package already? :blobcatThink:

@IslandUsurper I use Arch (BTW) on a laptop and I haven't had to use Nix, but in Mint I have. My case can be extrapolated to any Arch user thanks to AUR which has even more packages than Nix.
