The maverick has a CVT and if I was to ever drive something with a CVT it would be a Honda or Toyota, Americans can't make small cars or small engines, and I don't want my truck to pretend it is a car.Eco-Boost engines are complicated enough, and now you want to throw Hybird computers and CVT into it from Ford, I'll pass. @dave I just now saw that turbo is optional. But I'm also of the mindset if you really care about efficiency you really should have your car turbo charged. However you give up reliability and wear in doing so.Problem is that Turbo charging, High compression ratios, Direct Injection, all things that are standard and easy to make on Diesel engines because they can just scale up the engine; are difficult to do with Gasoline Engines because they do not scale efficently the larger you make them. The only people I think that do this well are Honda.I'd rather get a Toyota RAV4 over Maverick tbh. And if I got a F-150 I'd rather have it Turbo Diesel, because gascels seething over dieselchads if were are honest.Fortunately I don't have to get either because I know all the failure points of my GM High-Feature (Alloytec) engine and will not get a new car until it blows up.
