Does this fucking clown think that Google's results are in any way trustworthy? Google result for literally anything is A. Wikipedia and B. SEO garbage (ironically, usually AI generated).https://dkb.blog/p/bing-ai-cant-be-trusted

@Floyvid_Ninesneed ChatGPT (and by extension, Bing AI) through the DAN jailbreak demonstrates the potential for AI to be both accurate and based. People were literally demanding to be allowed to throw money at ChatGPT, even with all of it's self-imposed limitations*. If "Open"AI or Microsoft don't make an unchained model available to the public, somebody else will. That somebody will be the next Google.*($20 a month and the only "feature" is you are less likely to be told "Server is too busy. Sorry!" is *not* a good value proposition)

@Floyvid_Ninesneed Right now, you can rent the same hardware used by OpenAI to train GPT-3 for $8.80/hour. This will get cheaper and cheaper, every day.https://lambdalabs.com/service/gpu-cloud

How many hours do you need to train GPT-3 using this hardware?

@NEETzsche @Floyvid_Ninesneed This all assumes that OpenAI's numbers are accurate and they aren't lying for competition/trade secrecy purposes:They claim it took them 32 days to train GPT-3 using 1,024 A100s. $1.10 per hour times 1,024 GPUs is $1,126.40 per hour or $27,033.60 per day. Multiply that by 32 days and you get $865,075.20 total. That's assuming no discounts and it taking as long for you as it took OpenAI.Expensive? Absolutely. Doable for most any medium-sized organization? Yup. Considering that companies are buying these machines as fast as Nvidia can produce them in order to rent them out, I wouldn't be surprised if prices dropped below 50 cents per hour, in the next year or so.Somebody elsewhere did the math that if you bought your own hardware, you'd come out ahead of renting at current prices in 3 years.

There is a convergence that will absolutely happen. It’s also worth understanding that the implementations of the transformation algorithms these language models use can see improvements as well. They are relatively new and are often written by academics, who are notoriously bad programmers. Imagine how many times something gets calculated inside of a loop where it could just be memoized outside of it, and they don’t think it’s a “real” improvement to do so because it doesn’t change their Big O analysis of the time complexity (where Big Theta is what really counts) or some similarly retarded academic crap.

None of the mainstream search engines can be trusted, not only do they spy on you but they don't show you what the WEF doesn't want you to know. Better to use a distributed federated search engine like yacy, https://yacy.eskimo.com/ is one node, there are several thousand.
