@dkbgeek I called it terrorism on another site. Some people on the left were saying that wasn't technically correct since not all shooters act out of political reasons.My thought is the cycle of fear and anger we're in has these shooters responding out of political fears even when they don't know it consciously.In any case, I agree but wanted to see if others felt saying terrorist was over the line or not correct.

@stopgopfox There may be a FEW crazed shooters who are doing it for apolitical reasons, but generally they're killing people they know, or occasionally someone they have a direct fixation about etc. These people shooting up LGBT night clubs and synagogues, etc... they're terrorists. Tell ppl arguing that they're "troubled" that the mass-shooter rate from 30 years ago is the "background" rate of "troubled" shooters, and the rest of the 10x rate now are TERRORISTS.

@dkbgeek Well put. Yeah, this is my thinking but was baffled at getting told it was wrong to use the label like this. If not for mass shooters blasting people into pieces, then who? To use another rhetorical question and preach to the choir as well haha.

There's a pulse to these attacks, strong correlation between the dates of our worst mass shooting terrorist attacks & times of high Kremlin tension, all the way back to Columbine. The Russians are experts at mind control: hypnosis, Neuro-linguistic Programming, traumaganda, dissociation, & radicalization. They also have microwave energy weapons, capable of effecting brain functioning, emotions, and implanting thoughts.

@stopgopfox @alfredohno This seems so wildly irrelevant.The shooters' motivations are academic at best. The public IS terrorised. We should ACT to bring in greater gun controls. We should declare a public safety emergency and start saving lives.

@stopgopfox Agreed, I hate the framing of mass shooters as mentally ill because it associates mental illness with homicide and casts blame anywhere except on the choices and personal responsibility of the killer.At the same time they're not technically terrorists unless they're using indiscriminate violence to effect change in politics.I would like to see them framed as personally evil.These are people who actively chose to go commit an atrocity, no different than some Putin henchman. We should label them as "evil" the same way, it's not the fault of the gun, it's not the fault of some illness, it's not the fault of their circumstances, they chose to do this. They're evil people.

@SocialistStan Highlighting the evil above all seems like the right approach. The idea of evil also means not having to have arguments on why they did it -- it simply was evil.
