@david @nolasco The username is "Narrator." It's for an RPG forum. I do play by post, which is when you write prose on a rolling basis for character actions. It's like Dungeons and Dragons but there are literally thousands of games with similar structure. They're called TTRPGs.

@david @nolasco I'm also an upstart publisher. I'm doing a magazine out of my garage. And by that I mean I bought the printing press and the cutter and am actually making the stuff myself. @david @nolasco I use it. I also have a couple old pull requests on the software it used to, but no longer, runs on.If you're unaware with what I mean by the blue boards, I will elaborate now. These are the boards that are interest-based. There's a board for traditional games like board games, TTRPGs, and card games. There is another board for weapons. Another yet for literature. The list goes on, and there are so many of these that I really couldn't keep up with them if I tried.However, it's worth understanding that there is a culture on these boards that is very distinctive and once you're familiar with it you will know who you're dealing with within a few sentences of talking to them. There's a certain phraseology, certain shibboleths if you will, that's very obvious once you know it. There's also a certain set of cultural values that I would probably best characterize as the Wild West of the Internet: there are no rules or speech codes. If you get hacked or doxed, you're an idiot. If you're offended by some half-ironic anime Nazi's use of racial slurs, tough nuggets. And so on.It's hard to describe, but if you spend some more time on here you'll kind of get a feel for what I'm talking about, because a lot of people on the fediverse migrated from 4chan and other anonymous imageboards. You should also be aware that there are effectively two fediverses: the progressive social democrat left wing types generally don't appreciate board culture for reasons that are likely very obvious by now, and so spend a lot of time trying to defederate our instances.

@NEETzsche @david @nolasco out of curiosity, what sort of (presumably not manual) press even fits in a garage? I'm only familiar with the size of newspaper presses, from my time at a local paper. Did you buy it secondhand? I do some by-hand bookbinding for fun, so I'm curious.
