       @josh They've been saying this for over a year.The concern is that the Russian government will falsely entrap american citizens with lengthy criminal sentences and then exchange those american prisoners for (legitimate) Russian prisoners held by the US.

       @DryFish @josh A good theory. But the US doesn't have a good track record of freeing Americans for actual bullshit reasons. Didn't Biden exchange some Russian prisoners for some dipshit celeb trafficking drugs to gain brownie points with the progressives over a veteran who actually served his country?
