       Suggestion: give it strong, hard shadows from one light source. When I do shading it makes it easier for me to get it looking 3d because I can work out in my head where the shadows should fall if I know where the light it coming from, plus the shadows hide mistakes. I also look at reference images on the web, as the light and shadows don't always fall on the parts I think they would. (Heads are weird shaped)
