@puniko I mean every single release so far they've added highly valued features to the language so of course everyone keeps moving forward at a rapid pace to be able to use those features

@puniko Stimmt. Bei dem Inkompatibilitätschaos von PHP (da sind schon 32- und 64-Bit-Variante derselben Version inkompatibel) wundert mich nicht, dass man lieber bei was altem bleibt, das wenigstens halbwegs funktioniert. Bei Nextcloud geht z.B. nichts mehr, wenn man auf 8.2(.1) aktualisiert, mit 32 Bit gab's zuletzt auch ordentlich Probleme.

@puniko oh cool, 7.4 is still a good releasefrankly I don't get why laravel is already dropping support for it, like half their framework is symfony stuff that still supports it so why not streamline stuff

@puniko Gut möglich, da kenne ich mich nicht im Detail aus. War da nicht was, dass 5 so inkompatibel mit 4 war, dass fast alle erstmal dort blieben, und 7 war dann wieder größtenteils mit 4 kompatibel?

@Mort@social.tchncs.de ne, 7 hat massiv aufgeräumt und sehr viel zeug vereinheitlicht. darum sind dann auch tonnenweise sachen zu bruch gegangen.
