       Nobody seems to discuss 2 aspects of this aging issue; firstly why are our economies set up to completely derail if pop growth slows, and secondly why this isn’t just a transient issue that will inevitably resolve itself as the elderly die naturally.The notion that they all have to be euthanized immediately because we cant wait out the natural end of their lives is the strongest argument against the modern economic model i can imagine.

       @Basileuscomic @deprecated_ii It's literally impossible for a population to always increase because space and resources are finite, so predicating a healthy economy on an impossibility is a failing prospect right out of the gate. It's why any economic argument that begins with increasing population (always via immigration) as its premise is either being made in bad faith, or being made by a fucking moron.
