If you believe that health is a human right, you should support mask mandates for healthcare settings. Universal access to healthcare includes being able to go to see the doctor safely.#COVID #PublicHealth

@luckytran cardiologist's reception seemed happy there isn't a requirement for their office staff to wear masks, when I booked an appointment.

@saskboy @luckytran Oh geez. And, esp with specialists, it’s really difficult to change doctors. 🤕

@saskboy @luckytran my dentists office sent me an email reminding me that I haven’t had a cleaning in a long time, I replied and asked them what their ventilation system was like because the other office in town owned by their chain was not concerned about ventilation. No response, lol, I guess I need to find a new dentist.

@south_lib @maggiejk @luckytran it's an #Aranet4 CO2 sensor. At 1000ppm, it suggests the indoor air isn't exchanged with fresh air rapidly enough to be safe from COVID-19 infection if a sick person is breathing in there without a respirator on.

@cowgirlcoder @luckytran and I already changed to this one years ago after my last one didn't help prevent my early death (I was revived, however).

@saskboy @luckytran I'd have been subsequently cancelling that appointment upon discovering that detail.

@chrisdemarco @luckytran slim pickings in Saskatchewan. Haven't been to a fully masked medical appointment during the pandemic. I'll have my N95, and the doc and tech will have surgical masks on at least. And I'll educate them on their building's ventilation status while they tell me if my heart is doing alright enough.Maybe I should get an ultrasound for my phone...

@chrisdemarco This old tweet of mine came up in my notifications in the last few minutes by coincidence https://twitter.com/JohnKleinRegina/status/1601575653278887937

@saskboy @luckytran I was also mad because they ask you about symptoms when you come in, great, except the lady in front of me denied having symptoms then she sat 6 feet away from the receptionist and coughed off and on for five minutes. She was masked, but still, lady you just denied having a cough or sore throat or fever and YOU ARE COUGHING RIGHT NOW MORE THAN ONCE. Does anyone ever call them on it? Never.

@saskboy @luckytran I want one of those meters so bad, I bought a cheap version that was great except it stopped working after a few weeks so I returned it and did not try again. It told me my bedroom got up above 1000 by about 4 AM so I bought an air filter for my room and I seem to sleep better with cleaner air, so at least the three weeks of having a working meter gave me that.

@maggiejk A filter, unless vented outside, won't help with CO2 levels. You can borrow one from a local library, at least in my city you can.
