This feels good. No more Windows partition, and I have my Kubuntu 22.04 appearance exactly how I love it: Dracula global theme and Candy icons. Thunderbird ESR and Daily are both set up, all my current Steam games are downloaded and running perfectly, Plex/PlexAmp ready to rock, and Aptik full system backups are configured! Now, I just need to get OBS set up for the upcoming podcast recordings. I LOVE LINUX. #Linux #Screenshot #Desktop

@vecna Ah yes I'm well-versed in Compiz. A few years ago on my podcast, we helped my wife rediscover her love for "The Cube" as she called it. (The rotating desktop cube) And I *think* KDE Plasma might have wobbly windows as a built-in option!

@killyourfm it is good, isn't it. I remember when I found it about fifteen years ago. The difference from Microsoft was a breath of air. Used it until I stopped using pc or laptop. Still miss it.

@killyourfm If you can get it working, I highly recommend the Tytan652 build of OBS. Comes with several useful features built in and is kept up to date.

@killyourfm Very nice - the Candy icons go well with the darker theme. I am determined not to distro hop this year and am very happy with Xubuntu, but I must admit that Garuda Linux looks great for similar reasons - a dark style with visual impact.Tempted to do some re-decorating of my own desktop now..!

@Mair I’ve always liked the familiarity of Ubuntu but prefer the default apps, desktop paradigm and customisation of KDE Plasma.
