Yesterday when we had people over for our bday party, George and Washy where 'hiding' in our bedroom (in a pillow castle!) and each time I checked in on them Washy wanted to walk with me like a little shy child hiding behind my leg looking into the living room to all people he didn't know :bloblaugh: :blobcatgiggle: it was so cute :blobcatmeltlove:

@stux That is very cute! 😻Our secret weapon is the couch. If they don’t know someone, they’ll first run across their lap to get to ours. If the stranger doesn’t object, then they slowly move in. That’s it. You might as well live there now.

@stux When I had parties I arranged a quiet hidey-hole for my cat but she would come out about once an hour and go around each guest and rub their hand, let them pet her for a few seconds and after a complete round she'd retire back to her hideout. That was enough socialising for her and I think it was also her very polite way of saying hey, nice to see you all but time to go home now.
