@charliebrownau they dont do colocation. racknerd does but I need specifically in Japan. its one of the last areas I dont have hardware. the issue is bandwidth is $$$$$$$$$$$$ in APAC (our hardware in singapore is actually more expensive than anything in the US)

@graf @charliebrownau Wow. I had some idea, but no idea at all. None of these utility rates are really set. And I'm just me.

@PodunkPotato @charliebrownau 10TB on a dedicated server, especially in SEA is retarded. we dont have a lot of SEA users but combined they use about 80TB in a month, thats just for poast media

@graf @charliebrownau I just meant mine even holds the sword of Damocles. Buy these rates for the future. They will be higher. Probably rightly by energy sources. But, the rates outside the caps are punishing. Can you set a company plan?

@graf @charliebrownau As in insurance. Pay for a cap with x per over without direct fees.

@PodunkPotato @charliebrownau im not comfortable entering into a long term commitment with any carrier after watching the kiwifarms shit, and I've made that clear in any meeting I've had with any ISP in regards to poast or our DNS service I'm working on

@graf @charliebrownau Very fair. Doesn't have to be long term though. Idea is, I will pay 10% over every month for a 30% over on overages when they happen kind of idea. Whatever numbers work for both so it's not punishing.

@charliebrownau @PodunkPotato @charliebrownau they allow overages but they charge at a PER GB rate and I dont think they will budge, especially in SEA
