       @Tilopa Not that most states want to ban books, it's more performance art from the usual political phonies like Ron DeSantis. I think that we are seeing the last gasp of the (white) American right wing, in their quest to keep their dwindling dominance over American politics. Minorities and immigrants are going to find a way to vote, no matter how many roadblocks the right enacts to discourage them. And they tend to vote for the Dems, since they have noticed the republicans  want to screw them.
