Do you use a #VPN on your daily devices? What purpose does it serve you?

@art I do. I have my own Wireguard server though. I only use it when I don't trust the underlying network (public wifi etc.) or if I want to connect to my home network.

@art I don't use a VPN because there is no much point on it, SSL covers most of the security on "public networks" also don't connect to suspicious random endpoints.

@art Mainly connecting back to my home network when I'm outside of my home LAN. It's how I access my Asterisk-based phone system when I'm not at home as well as the VNC session that I use for a GUI the way other people use screen or tmux for programs that run in a terminal.

@art I use the Advanced Privacy app in /e/ OS to route my whole device traffic through Tor.
