Also, just to clarify, I'm not saying these are bad technologies. They all have potential positive uses, some of which could be amazingly positive. However, these all have potential extreme negative uses.Yes, even space lifters.

Other candidates I considered for this list:* Swarm robotics (kinda covered by drones)* 5G (not for the dumb conspiracy reasons)* Quantum computing and other potentially transformative computing advances* VR/AR* Laser weapons* Ballistic missile defense* Stealth technology* Hypersonic missiles* CryptocurrencyMost of these simply don't provide the cornucopia of terrifying potential applications of the 4 I picked. There's plenty of terrifying non-emerging technologies too.

I also didn't pick "autonomous weapon systems" because they would blow everything else out of the water and are also one of the main bad ideas that shouldn't be crossed with the 4 I did pick.

I'm surprised that absolutely nobody (this far) has picked heavy space lifters. I guess it shows what decades of good PR can do for public perception of your technology. It has the simplest, most straightforward negative application: dropping stuff from space. The speed and destructive potential are off the charts and it's easily the most politically destabilizing of all of these technologies if it's allowed to get out of hand. Also, don't forget that you don't need to launch it to drop it.
