@grammargirl I had a moment of bemusement when I read that too. Perhaps they were thinking people might be confusing it with "the public square," especially considering how many people comment on Twitter being the modern-day equivalent of the public square.

@grammargirl I remember a Hong Kong movie, a period piece, in which Spanish conquistadors were grilling a couple Chinese peasants about this "world of martial arts" they'd heard about and where they could find it in order to invade.

@grammargirl I’ve run a little indie publishing company and did a public domain book on Amazon once, just because I thought it was worth preserving. It’s not as old as most public domain works because the publisher allowed the copyright to lapse, back when you had to register to extend the term.http://tellectual.com/Eden.htmlProbably made $50 total off of it; not something done for profit.
