       @cattailnu Fifty seconds! And not just any old wolf. A paleo wolf, straight from the Siberian fossil beds. Forty seconds! A large wooden shaft and a piece of rock. Thirty seconds to flake off a double point, one end to drive into the shaft, the other for the wolf. Only one crack at this. She cradles the rock in one hand. Twenty seconds! Down with her curved antler whacker. Whack! Out flies the piece. She looks down. Ten seconds! She grabs the piece. Shit!

They did unspeakable things and promised eternal loyalty to the earth spirits in exchange of their help, their power. They got what they wanted.        @cattailnu The crowd stared as the raging hybrid beast leapt from the 3D cinema display. It was terrifying with a guttural howling, and the scent of decaying matter. They all took a step back, except for their pets, who simply froze. It had to be a promotion, didn't it? After the initial shock, it was clear the clock was ticking backwards. Tremors were increasing from a barely noticeable to a level that made walking difficult. "This is not good", Shelly whispered as she turned to run.
