       I feel like I need to be stronger and more confident as a person--that I need to grow a thicker skin or whatever--because as it is I feel more and more like I have to retreat from any sort of public existence just to get some peace from the constant barrage of this stuff. Which, of course, the transphobes would be really happy to hear.I shouldn't _need_ to grow a thicker skin. But that's life, right?

       I made the mistake of going back and looking at the comments on the video. I wanted to add my own, even though I knew it would be pointless. There were a few people as disappointed as I were. Some trans patrons of the creator who were saddened--obviously can't blame them. But of course, there were also the "goodbye you won't be missed, don't let the door hit you on the way out" lot. And the "you can't tell <creator> what they can/can't play" lot. And the "you're just terminally online if you care about this; it's just a game" lot. Fuck 'em all.
