Turns out that when the only people boycotting a game were never going to buy it in the first place it's not a very effective boycott. In fact it even seems to have the opposite effect due to the disgusting approach a few loud people are taking.

Emphasis on the loud people, most people who don't want this game to exist are being completely reasonable and not buying it, watching it or acquiring it through other means and playing it 🏴☠️.

@Wyatt That was the last resort after they realized people were still buying it, I personally care about the story as much as the DOOM story so that doesn't bother me personally.

@BrodieOnLinux@linuxrocks.online it's funny reading those failed boycott comments with those very aggressive tone over this game (ex: unfriending people just for buying this game, harassing people just for playing it, etc...), like they really be missing the reason why no one gave a shit or even spite them in the first place and continues to do the usual mistake which they'll never ever learn

@BrodieOnLinux On a scale of that to FFXIV, I lean towards xiv. I just hate spoilers. Like if I have a sports game recorded and someone tells me the final score, I won't watch it. They ruined it. Makes no sense at all, just how I am wired

@BrodieOnLinux I fucking hate every approach ln it. If you want to boycott a writer, don't buy their books, but don't blame game devs that had to make the product because they have a contract, it's their job.
