I've noticed products being packaged strangely lately.Today, it was hair conditioner. It was in a bottle I'm supposed to squeeze, and the plastic is so stiff it was barely squeezable.I'm guessing it's probably a supply-chain thing. Have any of you noticed things like this lately?#SupplyChain

@grammargirl I've been seeing lots of shrinkflation, the new 14 oz package available for the old 1 lb price. I'm so old, I remember when a half gallon of ice cream was actually half gallon of ice cream. Seems then standard seems to be down to 48 oz now

@grammargirl The other day I noticed a frozen food bag had lines for opening the package on the side near the top and instructions to open it it there, but there was no perforation cut to actually open it.

@grammargirl My BIG and HUGE peeve is increase cost and significant decreases in amounts over and over again. They do it gradually, I suppose, because they think it won't be as noticeable. Remember 6 sleeves in Premium saltines? Now 4. Look at your 'older' recipes. See the 16oz box etc .. now 8 oz or more likely 7 oz. WHY doesn't Congress do something about that! Elizabeth Warren is supposed to be interested but does nothing for Yrs. Nixon's price freezes has been LONG OVER

@grammargirl I switched to a shampoo and conditioning bar pair — partly because of the above and partly to reduce waste/plastic use.

@grammargirl Half-kilo tubs of yoghurt now come without a plastic lid, making them impossible to keep fresh after opening.Tesco now sells red cabbage with no plastic wrapping. That's wasteful, because it forces you to throw the outer layer straight into the compost bin. 😡

@grammargirl Yes, the caps on Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice are really really difficult to open the first time now—probably thicker plastic attaching the cap to the protection seal. I’m pretty strong, but I can barely get them open.

@grammargirl the ones on grove have high reviews. I also have to use a leave-in conditioner, but that’s because of how thick my hair is.

@grammargirl Not packaging, but Progresso soups have gone way downhill of late. Both my wife and I have opened cans, heated up the soup and reacted with, "What the..."
