@DESYnews @Jaden2 Lets make #science more inclusive and work with people to learn about the barriers to people taking up science.Step 1, nice poster, please make one with a Black girl in the picture.too and others reflecting other groups. step2 we need to look in to why black people are reporting problems getting papers published or can't access funding, This needs to be addressed in full, it may be painful, but this has to happen so we can attract a diverse group of people in to research. I have tagged Jaden2 in to this has he is far better qualified to comment on racism and barriers faced by the black and minority communities.#EqualityInScience

@zleap @DESYnews @Jaden2 Step3 - when considering job applicants, do NOT look for people who will "fit into the culture" because that's just code for "we want more people that are like ourselves" which means more white (and probably male) people.
