@atomica dumb edgy take. I once spoke to a therapist who, instead of saying “I think that…” when speculating about what I am feeling, would say “what I make up about that is…” which is less confrontational.When it comes to another persons thoughts and lived experience, what we “think” they are is our own invention. Only if it is confirmed by them - “this is what I feel or identify as” is it a fact based belief.

@atomica So if I meet you and you present as male dressing and male appearing, I might “make up” that you are assigned male at birth and have functioning male gametes. However, that is something I “pretend”, if I assume your gender based on appearance, unless you confirm it by telling me that “I identify as,” or “I am” male. Hope this helps.

If I dress as a female im playing dress up. Its not complicated, gender is assigned at birth, sexuality is fluid.. not the other way around. Stop sexualizing children..

@atomica A doctor may have seen your genitalia at birth and written a letter on a birth certificate however unless your karyotype was run to evaluate for Down syndrome it’s very unlikely your Y chromosome has been scientifically confirmed. Even if you should somehow find someone who tolerates you enough for intercourse and that person becomes pregnant, that also is not evidence of your functioning gametes since you may have been “cucked”. We don’t “know”.

@atomica You may have an unimpressive “outtie” down there but also so do post-operative transsexuals who identify as male. So in reality, the chromosomes and genes which you “identify” with are in fact things that, unless you have extensive tests run and become a trained geneticist and interpret them yourself, you take other peoples word for. Just like genes for pattern baldness or a weak chin, you will “know” them by the phenotypical expression and not direct evidence.

@atomica it’s mainly a Freudian obsession with procreating that leads one to think of one of a billion genes as the most defining binary characteristic of a person. You may have a gene for pattern baldness, predisposition to obesity, type 2 diabetes, but we don’t write this on your birth certificate and drivers license.
