       @a7 America does nothing but bad things. Their policy in official documents is literallykeeping the entire third world poor and themself rich. They even dont want europe to get too big.It says in their internal documents that they should keep the worlds resources only for Americans.

       @diceynes @a7 America is a continent.  Continents don't do anything.  Do you mean the United States?  Well then that's a nation, and some individuals in nations do bad things but again that's not the whole nation.  You need to start holding the individuals involved responsible, not nations, continents, etc, because the latter aren't conscious, have no soul, no moral responsibilities, they just are.

       @a7 @diceynes Well living at the United States, but being 100 miles from the Canadian border and taking trips there, I was surprised that Canadians also sometimes referred to themselves as Americans, and then recently I ran into someone in Brazil that did the same, and I had to think about it but yea, ok South America, but my main point isn't the US verses America, it is attributing human characteristics to a continent, a continent has no soul, it can't be held responsible, and no change will result from attributing responsibility to a continent or even a government and not an individual who actually made the bad decision.

       @nanook@friendica.eskimo.com @diceynes@mastodon.world I’ve never met a Canadian that refers to themselves as American but I’ve met a lot of Canadians that refer to people from the US as Americans, in fact I’ve only ever seen an American call out people in the US being called Americans and see most people not from the US refer to people from the US as Americans.
