With the speed of what is happening at the Webkit team right now, let me predict/speculate:WWDC, Apple will announce it allows other engines from iOS 17 on. At the same time, they will praise their Interop scores and announce that Safari is available on Windows and Android, “today”.This will bring full password and tab sync in a fully encrypted way to those platforms. Plus tracking protection. Then Apple will advertise the heck out of it, with serious efficiency stats.#web #browser #webkit

@yatil There's no way this happens. Apple's policy is to make it as difficult as possible for non-iOS/Mac users to interact with their services, as a way to ensure iOS users never switch to another OS. What do they have to gain by giving iOS users the ability to switch to Android and keep their browser data?

“Extend your battery life by up to an hour by downloading Safari for Windows now!”“Other browsers are in the business of tracking you. They are part of advertisement companies. Safari is not.”“Syncing your tabs and passwords is now easier than ever. Safari protects and encrypts your data at every step. Nobody, not even Apple knows what they are. Safari for seamless browsing on Windows and Android.”

@VamptVo I mean Apple Music and Apple TV exists for both Android and Windows. You can just sign up to interact with their services. You can sync your iPhone with Windows, too! 🤷‍♂️
