I laugh because hey, [they] chose to stay on Twitter and now suffer the consequences... But I weep because the flood of nonsense and people unable to read flood to Mastodon.

@stux Because of the setup of Twitter and the way discussions are posted. Just seeing somebody's reply to a toot without seeing the original toot is pretty anoying. With Mastodon half of the time it feels like bumping into a conversation at a party without the slightest idea what the conversation is about. Of course I can scroll back to read the original topic, but that is the reason I keep trying Mastodon and keep returning to Twitter.

@stux It kind of reminds me when I switched to Linux. You fight the urge to go back. People seem to come here dip their feet in the water and run back to what they know. It's what it is unfortunately.

@stux #Twitter was always a weird place. It had its benefits, but no matter what I always felt invisible. With how things are here; it feels more personal and warm. I’m glad to have settled here and I don’t wish any negativity to where I came from; only hopes that things get better for people regardless of platform 💛
