@adam @samsethi @Todd_Blubrry Adam also claimed that I was behind the ?premature? removal of email addresses from feeds because I was "whining about too much spam".On the contrary: I've been consistent in wanting something OAuth-like that is simple and straightforward for users. I even wrote a proposal for it: https://github.com/Podcastindex-org/podcast-namespace/issues/342This was disregarded, because one Apple employee decided that typing a token into a random field called podcast:txt was better.

@adam @samsethi @Todd_Blubrry It's perplexing that I'm being blamed by @adam in the Podcasting 2.0 podcast for a number of things that I'm not responsible for. While criticism isn't normally something that worries me too much, and Adam probably doesn't mean to criticise, he has a number of superfans that have decided to harass me here for apparently upsetting him.Perhaps my support for this project is misplaced.

I'm not a journalist. I appreciate you correcting the record.This is not new between us.LaPorte's egregious and incorrect comments are what happened. I listened to the link you sent, and to me that guy just misunderstands what Podcasting 2.0 is about - but that's not James or Sam's fault, right?(granted I try to stay out of personal stuff like that, so I might be missing more context here).

@adam @jamescridland @samsethi @Todd_Blubrry I understood his talk as "Alex Jones is a right wing nut job", but I guess that doesn't change the implications on you.Honestly I think I myself have gotten desensitized to phrases like "right wing nut job", because it's thrown around so much.I myself am probably somewhat left wing, but I also get called stuff like that in mails that want me to censor podcasts on Podfriend.But that doesn't mean it's okay.

@jamescridland @Todd_Blubrry @adam @samsethi I hope this finds amicable resolution. I’d just like to point out Podcasting 2.0 is bigger than any individual. It’s an open collaboration bringing new features to podcasting.LaPorte gave the worst possible explanation for dismissing Podcasting 2.0, claiming it’s the work of one individual who he disagrees with personally. It’s insulting to all of us working on improving podcasting for everyone (including LaPorte), but I don’t expect better from him
