So you know when you're grugmode and scampering around the woods picking up loose pieces of surface copper? Well, make sure to mark the places where you found them. So that later, when you have your first pick, you can come back with it and a shovel and dig straight down a bit. 9/10 you find copper.

@Binkle @Leaflord real gamer tip just skip copper anvil and go straight for tinbronze (or bisbronze/blackbronze if you have that instead) it uses less copper and you won't have to make a tier 2 anvil later

@Binkle if they're raw they don't iirc but once you cook them they start to turn (not very quickly tho) but yea you can stockpile the raw roots and cook them as needed still not as good as other foods once you get access to them because its low saturation and takes a lot of fuel but its great in the early game or if you wanna make an emergency cache
