@BrodieOnLinux yes. Perhaps more since MS are evil money grubbers, Apple are evil money grubbing control freaks.

@BrodieOnLinux As an Ex Mac user (from MacOS Mojave to Ventura on a 2019 MacBook Pro)Here's what I feelApple doesnt get enough crap thrown at them cus their software is only on their own hardwareAfter using MacOS and iOS for 4-5 years, The software even tho is very limiting is more or less smooth and well made, not to say that shit doesnt break, it might but its pretty stable now, given how macos is an immutable system now and with snapshots to back it up, sandboxing etc etc(1)

@BrodieOnLinux The major issue with Apple is their hardware, and how they try to make their user spend money and buy a new device instead of repairing. At the end, it doesnt matter if apple's software is good or whether M1, M2 based laptop/desktops are really powerful. you just lost your ability to fix your machine or upgrade it when you want to. Im still stuck with an i5, 8gigs of memory and 256gigs of storage cus thats what I could get for $2000 (sigh) and i have no way to upgrade.(2)

@BrodieOnLinux Btw apple is now scanning images on people's Macs even if they dont use icloud, or even sign in, "Its to protect the childen" they say.and if you were like "oh jeez, macos is spying on me, lemme replace this operating system with something thats more private, like linux" and try to install linux on it, you just unboxed a whole bag of worms. Even on an Intel Mac (like mine) shit still wont run linux without major usability restricting bugs and issues. You kinda loose freedom(3)
