       @josh I don't think that is correct. I manage a cluster of 3 masters + 3 slaves and it's all self hosted aka not enterprise. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, have you got a link? redis.io/docs/management/scaling/

       @josh I wouldn't say "just" sharding as you can still have any replica server become the master during failover. Are you looking to be able to write to any master?

       @Bucka Yes. I'm looking into Scylla (Cassandra) now, but I'm having trouble getting it to play nice with my other libraries.

       @josh @Bucka something like https://docs.pingcap.com/tidb/stable might be a better option if you're stuck with mysql on the wire
