       Another PDP-10 was installed today at the datacenter: A Systems Concepts model 40 or SC40 running Mars TOPS-20 7.SC Group - Mars System ASC20, TOPS-20 Monitor 7(21733)ssh sc40@hie.sdf.org "login new new" to play tourist.  Eventually this machine will be part of TWENEX.ORG

       @SDF That's so cool! It looks similar to VMS which I have used a bit back in the 20th century. I figured out how to add readme.txt. 😃

       @SDF Our EE college (1977) at Uni had a PDP-10. We had retired Western Union teletype machines to interface with it. The output printed on a roll of yellow paper - exactly as you would imagine.

       @SDF This is really cool! I didn't know this site existed. I worked on TENEX/TOPS-20 at BBN when I was starting out, wrote a bunch of the network code, connecting the BBN machines to different networks, so this brings back memories. Do you have a pointer to the PANDA distribution? Can it run under an emulator on a RPI?

       @wizdude The fan tray is on the bottom, very old school.  The rack frame extensions were cut off with a plasma torch to reduce weight so one person could carry the unit, but now it can't be rack mounted.  It is sitting on old DEC Alpha DS10L rails to allow for airflow.
